Trivia

Martin Starr plays one of Peter Parker's high school teachers in this movie. He can briefly be seen in The Incredible Hulk (2008), and is credited as "Computer Nerd". Marvel and Disney usually doesn't re-cast the same actors in different Marvel Cinematic Universe roles, but has broken this rule a few times. However, Starr's role could be linked to the previous minor background character, in which case, he was getting a degree in the earlier film, and went into teaching in this one. See more »

Goofs

Ned claims to Peter that his Lego Death Star has 3808 pieces, when it has in fact 3880 pieces. This is Lego set 10188 that was already out of production when filming started but not impossible to obtain at the time. A newer version of the set, under number 75159 was released to the public in September 2016 when filming had almost wrapped. It is still in production. This rerelease contains 4015 pieces, but this is not the version Ned is referring to, as is proved when the set is shown in Peter's bedroom. See more »

Leave spidy alone!
8 October 2017 | by See all my reviews

My real rating for this movie is 3 stars, but since it has a rating of 7.7 as of writing these lines, I feel it's my moral duty to lower the average as much as I can.

All in all, this is a decent humor clad movie, but it's mere existence is a troubling progression in an ongoing factory of the ruining of our childhood heroes for the occasional buck.

So the occasional jokes are funny and the sidekick character is hella cute, but all these aren't a movie make. What is lacking is a reason why I, aka the viewer, should give a damn about what is going on. A movie is supposed to take you on a ride, to meet and accompany a character or a group in a journey that is meaningful in a way to them, experience the emotions through them. This feat is achieved by good writing and directing, a wholesome and insightful crafting of a story.

Spiderman:homecoming is like a jigsaw of gimmicks that have been rearranged by an eager toddler to make a colorful but oh so wrong picture, at the expense of our friendly neighborhood spidy.
