Scooby Doo, Where Are You!

S2E3: Scooby's Night with a Frozen Fright (1970)

While out fishing Scooby and Shaggy catch a caveman who is frozen in a block of ice. They turn him over to a museum but soon someone thaws the thing out and it goes on a rampage, which means the gang must investigate. Here's another very good episode, which manages to have a fairly good mystery, a great villain and some nice laughs along the way. While this one here certainly isn't among the best in the series there's still plenty to enjoy. I think the highlight has to be the caveman himself. The large, ape-like look is certainly quite fun to watch and especially when it's going up against Scooby in a variety of ways. One of the best sequences has Scooby, Shaggy and Velma trapped inside an ice machine and having to come up with a rather creative way to escape. Another highlight happens at the very end of the episode when Scooby encounters a special fish but I won't ruin what happens.
