Two professional assassins that John Drake is escorting to the United States force an airplane down on a desert island. Drake finds no sign of life until he meets with an old hermit. The two criminals have gotten to him first, however, and convinced him that Drake and the flight stewardess are the dangerous ones. Drake fears the hermit is in danger from the real criminals, and tries to find a way to get them back into his custody and off the island. Written by
The show begins with Drake and his partner escorting two baddies back to stand trial. These assassins, however, have different plans. Soon, they attack and kill both Drake's partner and the pilot--and the plan crashes near a deserted (well, almost deserted) island. Unfortunately, the lone resident of the island is a crazy old crank--a crazy old crank who unfortunately believes the assassins' story--that Drake and the stewardess are the criminals and THEY crashed the plane! Can Drake convince this nutter to help him or will evil win for once?
I think the two assassins are pretty interesting and remind me a lot of the two gay assassins in "Diamonds Are Forever". I got definite gay vibes from them and this made the show a lot more interesting. In fact, it was a good episode all around aside from one brief instance where they used some very grainy footage of the plane crashing.
