Storyline

A pop singer has been receiving threatening notes, and her manager hires a bodyguard known for his good work. The bodyguard ruffles the singer's feathers and most of her entourage by tightening security more than they feel is necessary. The bodyguard is haunted by the fact that he was on Reagan's secret service staff but wasn't there to prevent the attack by Hinckley. Eventually the bodyguard and the singer start an affair, and she begins to believe his precautions are necessary when the stalker strikes close to home. Written by Ed Sutton <[email protected]>

Goofs

Frank arrives at the mansion for the first time and is talking to Henry. The camera angle shows Frank from the front, starting to button his suit coat. A close-up then shows Frank, looking down as if he's finishing up with that buttoning business. The next shot is of Frank from the rear, hands in pants pockets--coat obviously unbuttoned. He takes his hands out of his pockets, starts to button the coat--and while still doing it, the camera shifts back to the front view--the coat is already buttoned, and Frank's hands are already down at his sides. Frank: Tony knows what he is doing.

[Sits back]
Rachel: Unless I lose the fuckin' award.
[She laughs and Sy gives her a glare]
Rachel: Jesus, what a group!
[Puts on lipstick]
Rachel: Screw it. I'm tired of worrying about it. When your time is up? It's up.Right, Frank?

Intriguing Story
1 October 2006 | by (Pakistan) – See all my reviews

I have watched many action movies but this one makes one think: what happens next? This material could have been handled badly, but it comes out refined and elegant.

Both Whitney Hustoun and Kevin Costner stay true to their types, yet sharing a common purpose giving a spiritual dimension to the movie as observed by a commentator.

This is not a conventional romantic movie and that is why many are disappointed. It is a throwback to old concepts of chivalry and knighthood. The remarkable point to observe is that it is a modern story about an independent woman and her child.

This is a movie which feels good and genuine in the end.
