Ron Howard sent out this photo from the set, which doesn't feature any obvious spoilers. But it does features an entrance to a cave, with most speculating that this is our first ever look at the often heard about Spice Mines of Kessel. Ron Howard didn't come right out and say this is one of the caves of Kessel, but his cryptic tweet was enough to raise eyebrows.

The photo surfaced on the official Ron Howard Twitter this afternoon, with the director tweeting one word, "Spicey?" The spice mines of Kessel were first mentioned by C-3Po in A New Hope, »

New Thor: Ragnarok IMAX Poster Is a Jaw-Dropping Stunner

IMAX has released a new poster for Thor: Ragnarok, which blasts into theaters nationwide November 3. This one-sheet showcases the same colorful palate as the previous posters, featuring all of the important characters from Asgard and the gladiator planet of Sakaar, which fans will recognize from the iconic comic book Planet Hulk. This poster gives us a better look at Hulk in his gladiator armor, but we still won't find out until November who wins this battle between these "friends from work."

This new IMAX poster features Thor (Chris Hemsworth), standing front and center, wielding two massive swords, instead of his iconic, mystical hammer, Mjolnir. We saw in earlier trailers that the powerful villain Hela crushed this mighty hammer with just one of her bare hands, hinting that she is certainly not one to be trifled with. The mighty Asgardian warrior is flanked by his nefarious brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and »

Gal Gadot May Take a Break from DC for Bradley Cooper's Deeper

After dominating the summer box office, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is in talks to join Guardians of the Galaxy 2 star Bradley Cooper in a new thriller entitled Deeper, for director Kornel Mundruczo. No production schedule was given for this project, and no release date has been set by MGM, so it's possible that this may not go into production until after Wonder Woman 2, which is expected to start sometime next year, with Warner Bros. already setting a December 13, 2019 release date. Then again, if this project comes together quickly, it's possible that she could shoot it before returning as Diana of Themyscira.

Deadline broke the casting news today, although no details have been given regarding Gal Gadot's character. The story centers on a disgraced astronaut (Bradley Cooper), who embarks on a mission to reach the bottom of a newly discovered oceanic trench, believed to now be the lowest point on Earth. »

Wolverine Reboot Is Possible Says Fox CEO

Nothing is sacred in Hollywood when there's money to be made. It has scarcely been six months since Hugh Jackman officially hung up the claws and retired as Wolverine in the best way possible with Logan. The man went out on top and gave fans a very proper goodbye. But Wolverine is one of the most popular comic book characters on the planet (in no small part thanks to Jackman). As such, Fox isn't going to rule out a reboot of the character with a new actor.

Fox CEO Stacey Snider recently sat down for a chat with Variety about the overall outlook for the studio that covered a wide range of topics. At one point, Snider was asked point blank about the possibility of rebooting the character of Wolverine in the X-Men franchise. While she didn't give a timeline on the matter, she certainly wasn't willing to rule it out. »

Paramount Could Sue J.J. Abrams for Directing Star Wars 9

Star Wars 9 is back on track, with director J.J. Abrams stepping in to replace fired director Colin Trevorrow. The studio has issued a new December 20, 2019 release date, and the project seems heading in the right direction. However, J.J. Abrams' sudden emergence at the helm of this franchise finale was a direct breach of his contract that was re-negotiated at Paramount after he left to direct the 2015 blockbuster Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A new report reveals that Paramount was "jilted" when he left to direct Star Wars 9, which lead to Paramount extracting a small sum of money for their troubles, but not nearly what the studio's overall deal with the director is worth.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that newly-minted Paramount chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos was not pleased that J.J. Abrams was "poached" yet again by Disney to direct this highly-anticipated Star Wars sequel, but he ultimately accommodated the deal, »

Infinity War Trailer Finally Coming Next Week?

Many fans were pretty irritated with Marvel over the summer. Kevin Feige and Co. decided to debut the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War at both Disney's D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con. Even after playing exclusively at both of those events for a select few, Marvel refused to release the trailer online. Now, after months of waiting, Marvel Studios may finally be releasing the Avengers: Infinity War trailer online next week.

We can't say that this news is coming from anyone official, so it should be regarded as rumor for now. That said, Marvel Newz is reporting that the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer will make its way online on September 29. That also just so happens to be the same day that Marvel's Inhumans airs on ABC. Marvel has debuted trailers for big movies during ABC Marvel shows before, so this would seem like a logical move and the »

It Beats The Exorcist as Biggest Horror Movie Ever

Andres Muschietti's big screen adaptation of It terrified author Stephen King and is continuing to break records in the process, but the latest record is one to truly behold. It is now on track to become the highest grossing domestic horror movie ever, beating long-standing classic The Exorcist. It devoured its competition in its debut weekend, earning a record breaking $123 million dollars domestically, making it the highest grossing horror movie debut of all-time. Before It came around, New Line dominated the genre, but it looks like Warner Bros. just took over that throne and in record time.

Anabelle: Creation just crossed over the $100 million mark, which is still considered a success, but It will pass The Exorcist's $232.9 million-dollar lifetime domestic gross tomorrow in just over 2 weeks total time for the new movie. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is calling it a record from a pure genre outlook with Jaws, The Sixth Sense, »

Y'lan Noel (Insecure) and Lex Scott Davis (Training Day) are the first actors to officially sign on for the project, although it remains to be seen how many more main characters are still needed for the cast. While it hasn't been confirmed when production will begin, it will certainly have to begin soon, since the prequel is already set to hit theaters next summer.

The Tracking Board first broke the news, although there were no details given about the characters they play. Justice League Test Screening Just Happened, So How Is It?

Justice League has officially screened. That means Joss Whedon, after months of reshoots and a whole lot of retooling, has finally managed to get an assembly cut of the movie together. Unfortunately, everyone that saw the movie had to sign very intense non-disclosure agreements, so full reactions to the movie have not been revealed online. But we do have a single reaction to the movie to go on. And, well, it's probably not what most of your want to hear.

Comicbook.com was able to get word from an unnamed individual who attended this Justice League screening held by Warner Bros. According to that unnamed person, one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2017 is "fine." That's the extent of reactions that we have at this point and it is just one anonymous reaction. So we can't really base a lot off of that, but if Justice League is just "fine, »

Jake Lamotta, Real-Life Raging Bull Boxer, Dies at 95

Jake Lamotta, the boxing champion whose memoir inspired Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull has passed away. Lamotta died in a Miami nursing home due to complications with pneumonia, TMZ reports. Lamotta's wife said, "I just want people to know, he was a great, sweet, sensitive, strong, compelling man with a great sense of humor, with eyes that danced."

Lamotta's memoir inspired Martin Scorsese and his 1980 movie, Raging Bull, which Robert De Niro won an Academy Award for his portrayal of the troubled boxer. The movie is widely considered one of Scorsese's best, as well as one of the best American movies of all time. In 1990, it was named to the Library of Congress' National Film Registry, »

First Tomb Raider Trailer Is One Big Video Game Easter Egg

The first trailer for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has arrived and it didn't necessarily blow anyone's socks off. This is just a Lara Croft teaser, but this may not be the movie that winds up saving video game movies in Hollywood. The movie does, however, clearly take into consideration that many people aren't a fan of movies ignoring the story of the games. In this case, the Tomb Raider trailer is essentially one giant Easter egg for the 2013 Tomb Raider video game.

IGN decided to do a side-by-side comparison between the new Tomb Raider teaser trailer and some of the comparable game footage from the 2013 Tomb Raider game, which served as a reboot of the game series. To say that the two share some similarities would be an understatement. Shot for shot, the trailer is taking things we saw in the game and putting them on the big screen. »

Lego Ninjago Movie Review: A Laugh Riot for All-Ages

The Lego Ninjago Movie is a hyper visual adventure loaded with humor and warmth. Kids will be dazzled by the frenetic animation, while enjoying a lot of laughs with the adults. I walked into this film cold. Beyond a fleeting glimpse of the trailer, I didn't have a clue about anything Ninjago related. Kudos to the directing and writing team for crafting a film enjoyable to all audiences. They successfully introduce the characters and setting before veering off into the crazy plot. Lego and Warner Bros. are officially on a streak. Their third collaboration doesn't surpass Lego Batman, but is a damn good effort.

The story takes place on the bustling island of Ninjago, where Lloyd (Dave Franco) is having a terrible sixteenth birthday. Everyone on Ninjago hates his guts. Why? Because Lloyd is the son of the evil Lord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), a maniacal, four-armed despot hell bent on conquering Ninjago. »
