The Dark Side Rises in New Star Wars 8 Character Photos

The promotional campaign for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in full swing, as the movie is less than 30 days away from hitting theaters. Entertainment Weekly is celebrating with 4 brand new covers that each feature 2 characters, along with teasing headlines that are firing up the speculation train. One of the covers that's gaining the most attention is one that shows Rey and Kylo Ren with a title that reads, "Could Rey fall to the Dark Side?" The cover consists of 2 images of Rey and Kylo Ren that are clearly not from the same scene, but within the story there are 10 new, never-before-seen images from The Last Jedi, one of which shows Kylo Ren and Rey in Snoke's throne room.

By far, the most exciting of these images is the one set in what appears to be Snoke's throne room, with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in the background as Rey (Daisy Ridley »

Angry DC Fans Demand Release of Snyder's Justice League Director's Cut

Warner Bros.' Justice League can't catch a break during its opening weekend. It has been revealed that the movie is underperforming at the box office, arriving as the lowest domestic debut in the brief history of the Dceu. This has led many to speculate about the future of the extended universe. If that wasn't enough, critics have been tearing the movie apart, with a rogue group of fans starting a petition to see Zack Snyder's original cut of the movie, before Joss Whedon took over. Proving that you can't please everybody, a similar petition was started a year ago to remove Snyder from Justice League.

Hardcore Dceu and Zack Snyder fans have launched a change.org petition asking Warner Bros. to restore Snyder's original Justice League cut, together with Tom Holkenborg's (Junkie Xl) score on home release. As of this writing, the petition has collected over 40,000 signatures. »

Justice League Has Lowest Box Office Debut in Dceu History

The Justice League may have been able to save the world, but they were not able to meet their box office expectations, earning the least amount of money out of all of the Dceu movies released thus far. It's weird to say a movie opening with $96 million is a failure, but in terms of how much money was pumped into the project along with comparisons to the previous 3 movies, Justice League did not live up to its hype. However, the movie did have a huge opening overseas of $185 million led by China, so hope is not completely lost for Justice League.

Studios on Sunday estimate that the enormously expensively Justice League will earn $96 million from 4,051 theaters. It is well below its modest $110 million estimates and pales in comparison to the $166 million launch of Batman v Superman in early 2016. Both movies were similarly panned by critics, but still earned number one »

Mark Hamill Gets Emotional Over Luke's Return to the Millennium Falcon

The wait for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently less than 30 days away, and the promotional campaign is starting to ramp up. Entertainment Weekly has released 4 new covers featuring characters from the movie. The first cover shows off Rey and Kylo Ren with a title that reads, "Could Rey fall to the dark side?" The next cover features Darth Vader's kids, and asks the question, "Will Luke and Leia reunite?" In addition, there are covers that feature Rose and Finn with Bb-8 as well as the last cover that has Poe and Holdo together. The covers look great, and one of the new pieces written in the magazine details Mark Hamill's first time back on the Millennium Falcon.

The shot of Luke Skywalker aboard the Millennium Falcon was first revealed during the TV spot for The Last Jedi that aired during the World Series back in October, and »

Samuel L. Jackson Wraps His Role as Mr. Glass in Split 2

The highly-anticipated sequel Glass, which brings together characters from both M. Night Shyamalan's 2000 film Unbreakable and this year's low-budget hit Split, started filming just last month, and it seems that principal photography is already winding down. Director M. Night Shyamalan took to Twitter over the weekend to reveal that Samuel L. Jackson has already wrapped his role as Elijah Price, a.k.a. Mr. Glass, with production ending next week. Here's what the director had to say on social media.

"1 week left of shooting #Glass. Yesterday was @SamuelLJackson last shot. Had to fight back tears. These are more than movies to me."

The news comes just weeks after we caught our first glimpse of Samuel L. Jackson on the Glass set with new set photos, but it seems his time on the project has already come to a close. Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds David Dunn (Bruce Willis »

Russell Simmons Denies Abuse Claims, Tells Terry Crews to Forgive

The Los Angeles Times broke a new story alleging that Brett Ratner and music mogul Russell Simmons teamed up for a sexual assault, and now actor Terry Crews has shared an email from Simmons asking for a "pass", to have Crews drop his own allegations against a former agent. In October, Crews spoke out about allegedly being groped at a party, but did not name the person. This week the actor identified the alleged groper as Adam Venit, the head of the motion picture department at talent agency William Morris Endeavor. Venit, who has represented a bevy of well-known Hollywood actors was subsequently suspended from his role while the talent agency conducts an internal investigation.

Over the weekend, Terry Crews tweeted out an email that he allegedly received from Russell Simmons that asked the actor to drop the case all together. Simmons reportedly had this to say.

"Did he ever apologize, »

Justice League Stumbles to the Top of the Box Office with $96M

Warner Bros.' Justice League, the studio's fourth Dceu entry, was expected to easily top the box office this weekend, although it came in far under even the most modest of expectations. The Dceu superhero ensemble had no trouble taking the top spot and beating other newcomers like Wonder and The Star, but it failed to hit its projections, coming in far below most expectations with $96 million. Wonder did manage to overperform, coming in above expectations with a solid $27 million in its opening weekend in second place.

Back in September, box office analysts put Justice League's opening weekend at $150 million, coming in just shy of the $166 million of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Last month, those numbers dipped even more, with analysts predicting an opening weekend between $110 million and $120 million, and while some thought it may exceed those more modest expectations, it still managed to fall quite short of most projections, »

Warner Bros. Billed Ben Affleck for Stealing Batarang

18 November 2017 2:03 PM, PST

Ben Affleck is having a rough time on the promotional tour for Justice League. All anybody wants to talk to the actor about is the Harvey Weinstein scandal, as well as Affleck's own personal experience with sexual misconduct. So, it should come as a welcome relief for the Batman star to end up in the news for something that doesn't involve sexual misconduct or starring in the upcoming standalone Batman movie. Instead, Affleck has been accused of stealing a batarang from the set and now Warner Bros. is billing him for the theft.

Stephen Colbert recently asked Ben Affleck if he got to keep any of the props he used on Justice League and as it turns out, Affleck jokingly said, "There was some other stuff that fell off the truck, like the batarangs and stuff." Apparently people noticed, and Affleck says he heard from the studio because of it. »

Finn Awakens in Thrilling New Last Jedi Footage

18 November 2017 1:16 PM, PST

We'd warn you not to watch the latest Star Wars: The Last Jedi extended TV spot. As it contains some cool new footage that would better be suited for your first viewing. But we also know you won't listen to us, and you can't control yourself. So go ahead, watch as Finn awakens from his coma in the latest look at Star Wars 8.

John Boyega's Finn was badly injured at the end of The Force Awakens. And when we last saw him, he was in a coma. We've seen images of him in his bacta suit, which is helping him heal. Now, we get to see him come to, screaming. This cuts to a shot of Finn still wearing the suit. He confronts Poe Dameron, wanting to know what happened to Rey.

As anyone who saw The Force Awakens knows, she is off on Ahch-To training to be a Jedi with Luke Skywalker. »

Latest Look at Venom Goes Inside Eddie Brock's Home

18 November 2017 12:46 PM, PST

Production on Sony's Venom is in full swing and Tom Hardy has shared a new picture from the set. Production began late last month on the Spider-Man spin-off and details are still sparse, but Hardy's excitement for the project is clearly evident. Venom will adapt the comic book limited series Venom: Lethal Protector, which is a storyline that sees Eddie Brock relocate to San Francisco after coming to a truce with Spider-Man. Things are even going relatively well for him for a while until someone from his past finds him, seeking revenge and unleashes five super-powered symbiote offspring (Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher, and Agony) to take him out.

While the new photo doesn't reveal anything about the plot of the movie, it is some good viral marketing for the project and Tom Hardy is the only one from the project that has posted on the official Venom Twitter account. »

One Major Character's Fate Has Been Revealed in The Last Jedi

18 November 2017 12:26 PM, PST

Many believed that the new Star Wars trilogy was slowly killing off its original characters, with Han the first to go in The Force Awakens, Luke next in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Leia to come to the end of her road in Star Wars 9. The untimely passing of Carrie Fisher changed that idea somewhat. It's believed that Leia's character will be sent off into the sunset to live on in the franchise, and that Luke Skywalker will be sparred this time out. While that hasn't been confirmed, there is another character many believed would also die in The Last Jedi. But apparently this character is confirmed to live. Whether Luke becomes a Force Ghost or not.

Oscar Isaac was supposed to only be in The Force Awakens. He is introduced in the movie as ace X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron. And he should have died at the hands of the First Order. »

This May Be Your Last Weekend to Watch Movies as Rogue Planet Theories Heat Up

18 November 2017 11:32 AM, PST

Numerologists are claiming that this could be the last weekend on Earth, so you might as well hit the movies. There are plenty of classics and new movies in theaters right now to keep you busy before the end of days. Conspiracy theorists are claiming that a rogue planet will disrupt Earth's orbit this Sunday and bring about a series of catastrophic earthquakes that could decimate life as we know it. Nibiru, also known as Planet X, was originally supposed to destroy our world on September 23rd according to a Christian numerologist who said it was to collide with Earth, but obviously that didn't happen.

Now the same conspiracy theorists predict that this weekend will be the end of life as we know it and many are hitting the movie theaters to take their minds off of the impending doom. While Justice League is currently number one, it has had »

Why Freddy Got Fingered Isn't the Bomb Everyone Remembers

18 November 2017 11:07 AM, PST

At the height of his fame, Tom Green was allowed to make his first standalone movie as a leading man. But by all accounts, 2001's Freddy Got Fingered was a substantial bomb, and decimated his future in film. Case in point, he hasn't been in one for a long while. But as Tom Green sees it, the movie didn't bomb. In fact, according to him, it was a financial success and could have done a lot better in theaters had it not be rated R. He has his own theory on why the numbers weren't bigger. He places the blame on Crocodile Dundee.

People probably haven't been thinking much about Freddy Got Fingered. It enjoys its own limited cult cache, and it made the news in early 2016, when a man was arrested for not returning his VHS rental of the asinine comedy after 14 years. But the movie has pretty much »

AC/DC Guitarist Malcolm Young Passes Away at 64

18 November 2017 10:23 AM, PST

For those about to rock, we salute you. Malcolm Young, founding member of AC/DC and brother to lead guitarist Angus Young, has passed away at the age of 64. Malcolm suffered through dementia and cancer for the last years of his life and has not toured or recorded with the band since 2008's Black Ice. Malcolm Young was the band's rhythm guitar player and is responsible for many of AC/DC's best-known songs that have topped the charts as well as helped launch movies into the top of the box office with his contributions to soundtracks.

In a statement on the Malcolm Young's Facebook, his family said, "Renowned for his musical prowess, Malcolm was a songwriter, guitarist, performer, producer and visionary who inspired many." While the statement is accurate, it also underscores just how amazing Malcolm Young really was. Arnold Schwarzenegger's The Last Action Hero was a box office bomb, »

What Jake Gyllenhaal Looks Like as The Batman

18 November 2017 9:54 AM, PST

To say Ben Affleck has been wishy-washy about returning as Bruce Wayne in DC's The Batman would be an understatement. The 'will he or won't he' parade of news has been unbearable, and on par with whether or not Daniel Craig would come back as James Bond. While doing press for Justice League, Affleck has admitted that he's not committing himself to the role. And that he's looking for a way out of the Dceu that is quick, painless, and drama-free. In recent days, we've learned that director Matt Reeves is already testing new Batmen. And at the top of his list is Jake Gyllenhaal. Now, we have an idea what that might look like.

Evergreen fan artist BossLogic has rendered a new piece that puts Gyllenhaal in the batsuit. He's dark, brooding. But is he right for the role.? We'll let you tale a look and decide for yourself. »

Justice League Deleted Scenes Include a Lot More Cyborg

18 November 2017 8:39 AM, PST

Warner Bros. Justice League is finally in theaters right now, and while some are already planning their second and third trips to see this superhero adventure on the big screen, others are looking forward to the additional material that will arrive with the Blu-ray and DVD release. Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in this superhero ensemble, revealed that there was one particular scene that he shot which was very special to him, although it never made it in the theatrical cut. Here's what he had to say about this flashback scene, which involves Victor Stone and his mother.

"There were some things that you'll probably end up seeing later on, that didn't make it into this version of the film. There's a scene with Victor Stone, when he still was Victor Stone, and his mother, that was really special to shoot. It does feel like an origin, particularly to people »

The Incredibles 2 Trailer Is Finally Here

18 November 2017 8:13 AM, PST

We may never get a good Fantastic Four movie, but Disney is giving us the next best thing. Arguably a much better thing. After more than a decade, we finally have our first look at Pixar's The Incredibles 2. Though, we don't get to see much. Director Brad Bird is finally returning to the world he created in 2004 by bringing us one of the most highly-anticipated superhero movies of 2018. And considering that Avengers: Infinity War is also coming out next year, that is a bold statement. But a deservedly bold statement. Disney released a synopsis for the movie along with an image and poster.

"Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in Incredibles 2 but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. »
