Jennifer Aniston on Sundance Drama ‘The Yellow Birds,’ Returning to TV and Tabloid Culture
Jennifer Aniston is no stranger to the Sundance Film Festival, having trekked to Park City for the premieres of 2002’s “The Good Girl” and 2006’s “Friends With Money.” This year, she plays a supporting role in the drama “The Yellow Birds,” as the mother of a young man (Tye Sheridan) who enlists in the Iraq War.
“It’s a poetic story,” says Aniston, who’s also an executive producer on the project, directed by Alexandre Moors, with a cast that includes Toni Collette and Alden Ehrenreich as another soldier. “It’s heartbreaking — these families every single day not knowing if their kids are going to come home.” Ahead of its Saturday premiere, Aniston spoke to Variety about the film, why she’s open to returning to TV, and what inspired her recent essay about tabloid culture.

"How can a girl go to a red carpet without heels?” Chopra said. "Don't tell my doctor that. He'll give me a call tomorrow. He shouldn't »

Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson and Marlon Brando’s Rumored September 11 Road Trip: The Truth Behind the Myth
It’s one of the most irresistible, if improbable, Hollywood stories of recent times. After the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, did Elizabeth Taylor escape New York City by getting in a rental car with Michael Jackson and Marlon Brando and driving all the way to Ohio?
Not so, says, Tim Mendelson, a close friend and trustee of Elizabeth Taylor’s estate, who was with her that week in Manhattan at the St. Regis Hotel. “There was never any road trip,” he says. “Elizabeth was in New York after 9/11 with Debbie Reynolds. She didn’t want Debbie to be alone.”

These robot spies are touted for their ability to help researchers investigate the animals’ emotional responses.
The results are both stunning and devastating for a colony of langur monkeys. When one monkey accidentally drops the spy baby, »
